Spotify Charts India: Top Albums and Artists of 2021

As the year comes to a close, music streaming giant Spotify has revealed its top charts for India in 2021. The platform has shared its list of most-streamed albums, songs, and artists of the year, giving fans a glimpse into what they have been listening to throughout the past 12 months.

Notably, three out of the top 10 most streamed albums in India this year are by South Korean pop-band BTS. The list includes Shershaah, Kabir Singh, Moosetape, Love Yourself Answer, Love Aaj Kal, Justice, BE, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, Master and Future Nostalgia.

In addition to these global hits, Spotify has also highlighted some popular Indian songs that have topped the charts. MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) by Lil Nas X, Agar Tum Saath Ho by Alka Yagnik, Arijit Singh, A.R., Lut Gaye by Jubin Nautiyal, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Manoj Muntashir, STAY (with Justin Bieber) by The Kid LAROI, Justin Bieber, Brown Munde by AP Dhillon, Gminxr, Gurinder Gill, Shinda Kahlon, and Ranjha by Jasleen Royal, B Praak, Anvita Dutt are some of the most-streamed songs in India this year.

The same song was also featured in Apple Music Awards winners list. The company says the most-streamed song of 2021 in India was Raataan Lambiyan by Asees Kaur, Jubin Nautiyal, Tanishk Bagchi.

Other top artists on Spotify include Pritam, AR Rahman, BTS, Tanishk Bagchi, Shreya Ghoshal, Jubin Nautiyal, Neha Kakkar, Anirudh Ravichander, and Vishal-Shekhar. Just like last year, Arijit Singh remains the most streamed artist on Spotify for 2021.

In addition to its annual charts, Spotify is also sharing a personalized Wrapped experience on its mobile app. This allows users to check out their top songs of the year. The company has also shared India-specific lists, and users can check out a special playlist marking the end of the year via the app for Android and iOS.

As 2021 comes to a close, Spotify's Wrapped list highlights the top artists, albums, songs, playlists, and podcasts on its platform this year.
